PANAFEST is a cultural event dedicated to the enhancement of the ideals of Pan Africanism and the development of the African continent.
PANAFEST is a biennial cultural festival of art and culture attended by people of
African descent who convene in Ghana from all over the continent and the Diaspora to
celebrate the music, art and theatre of the African experience.

Day 1 - 3 : Accra, the capital city of Ghana
> We will visit the home of Dr. W.E.B. Dubois which is now a museum and his final resting place.
> See Christiansburg Castle (Former fort and slave dungeon and until recently, the
official residence of the President of Ghana)
> See Jubilee House which is now theofficial residence and office of the President of Ghana
> Visit Independence Square (where Ghanaians celebrate the nation’s Independence Day each year)
> Visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, which is the final resting place of the first President of Ghana
Day 4 - 6 : Kumasi, and its Surrounding Towns
> Visit Manhyia Palace, the traditional home of the Asantehene “the king of kings,” the King of all the Asante
> Visit the woodcarving village of Ahwiaa where you will see craftsmen carving wood masterpieces
> Partake in Traditional Naming Ceremony, where each tour member will be given a traditional Asante name based on their day of birth
Day 7 - 10 : Central Region Tour
> The Grand Durbar of Chiefs and Queens
> Participate in the Candlelight procession and Reverential Night ceremonies that will take place inside the Cape Coast Slave Dungeons
> Stop at Assin Manso to participate in a Ceremony of Remembrance at “Slave River”
> Guided tour through Elmina Slave Dungeon and Cape Coast Slave Dungeons
