Days 1-3 Travel from the United States; Explore Dakar and Goree Island

> Travel from the United States and tour Dakar, the capital of Senegal and Goree Island.

> We will visit many of Dakar’s most significant sites including: Independence Plaza, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral of Dakar, the Grand Mosque, the Gate of the 3 rd Millennium, Dakar University and the Statute of the African Renaissance, the tallest statute in Africa.

> Take a ferry cruise to Goree Island, which is about 2 miles from Dakar.

Days 4-6 Nature Park; St. Louis City and Lompoul Desert Tours

> We begin with a tour of Parc National de la Langue de Barbarie.

> We will also tour thebeautiful historic city of St. Louis.

Days 7-8 Safaris in Fathala Nature Reserve and Sine Saloum Reserve.

> With our Safari Guide, we will be able to follow the animal tracks through the wilderness in search of some of the many species that roam the area. Have your cameras ready! You will have the opportunity to walk with lions!

Days 9-11 Tour Kaolack City; Joal and Fadiouth Village; and Saly on the African “Riveria” and Travel to the United States

> Kaolack is the third most important city in the country. We will explore this interesting city and browse through the famous Kaolack Central Market, one of the country’s most colorful, where vendors from several neighboring countries concentrate, displaying varied items for sale, from traditional charms and amulets to everyday goods.

> We will drive through the villages of Joal and Fadiouth and view villages virtually untouched by time; and observe village life that continues much as it has for centuries.
